The Anders Hove News

Updates

***27, February 2005***-- Well, I hope you all hadn't given up on this site. I'm sorry about the temporary outage and the funky formatting of the pages that may be apparent for a couple of weeks. I renewed the site in December only to find that the site disappeared, files and all a week later. The company refused to answer my numerous requests for support on the issue so after doing some investigative work I found that the web host had recently changed management and that this problem had happened to many a person using this particular web host. After that, I decided for the sake of the site to move it to a different web host and start over. My design programme had backed up most of the pages that were on the other site but not in finished form which I had done on the site. Therefore, the pages are under construction for the time being. Please forgive the mess and the loss of a couple months of updates.

Okay, now that the explanation is finished I would like to lend a hand to taking down the web hosting company that screwed the site over. If you have a site or are looking for a web host for your site...do not use a company called freehostingweb.com (which was never free by the way). I believe the parent company that took them over is called aaa-webhost.net. Either way, these companies are BAD NEWS!!!!!!! I am not the only person that they have screwed over and I would hate to see it done to any of you.

Anders News: Anders recently finished up a play called "Manden fra Estland" and is now working on a play called "The Tour Guide". The "Deleuran" CD that he had a hand in creating is still available through this site (all the money goes to the artists none to me). If you are having problems accessing the order form whilst the site is being rebuilt please let me know at andershove@anders-hove.com and I can help you order it through there.

If you have recently sent me a link to your site or any other information that may have gotten lost with the site transfer please use the above address to resend it to me so I can get everything back up for you.

***17, July 2004***-- This seems somewhat premature news but what the hell, Anders seems excited about it. He's still performing "Taming of the Shrew" in Copenhagen until August. Now, he is excited about a CD that is coming out in August. I'm not sure exactly how much involvement he had in it but I know he wrote music and lyrics on it and helped put it together. It has no title yet but will be available in August. I will try to have order information here as well as some more details, like a title.

***27, June 2004***-- Anders will be starting the Shakespeare play "Taming of the Shrew" this week. He is also working on a new movie called "Grown Ups" playing a "bad dad". More details on the movie such as what it is about and the character he is playing and it's availability will follow as I receive them.

As of now, Anders is still planning on attending the "Twisted Nightmare Weekend" in Akron, Ohio in September. More details on that as I get them as well. If you want to drop me a line with a question or a comment please feel free to write me at andershove@anders-hove.com. Please make sure you put something like "Anders Hove" or something related in the subject line. A lot of my mail is spam and goes to a junk mail folder. I check the mail folder regularly and undelete the non-spam. It is easier when I can easily see that the note is about Anders.

Also, if you want to leave your mark on the site, please sign the guest map on the opening page of the site. I love seeing where you are all from!

***30, May 2004***-- I have a late breaking appearance to add to the board and I'm not giving a lot of notice. "Subspecies IV" will be on the SCI-FI network on 31, May 2004 at 3AM EST. Please check local listings for your time zone.

Anders is currently working on a Shakespeare play he says will open in about a month. The lucky play is "Taming of the Shrew". Yes, Hove is taking on the bard once more. Plans are still good that he will appear in Akron, Ohio for the Nightmare convention in September. I'll give details as I get them.

***05, April 2004***-- Happy spring already!!!!! Hope everyone is doing well. I have some television appearances to report for the month. Anders can be seen in "Mifune" on IFC (Independent Film Channel) this month. Times are: Wednesday, 07 April at both 1.00 AM and 4.15 AM EST. It will be played again on IFC on Monday, 12 April at 1.45 AM EST. Please check your local listings for times in your time zone.

***23, March 2004***-- A little bird told me today is Anders's anniversary. Happy Anniversary to Anders Hove and Ann Crosset! Again, best wishes and many many more!

***16, March 2004***-- Happy Birthday today to Anders's lovely and talented wife, Ann Crosset! Best wishes and many many more!

Also, Anders' new play "Plasticin" opens today. Break a leg Anders!

***04, March 2004***-- I would like to take this oppurtunity to congratulate two of your fellow fledglings, ACiDiC74, Aci or as I always call him Ace and Kristi or OzzyHaunted or Rshel however you may know her on their engagement. Mazel Tov!!!!!

For details on their engagement please visit "Radu's Blood Bath" or click here.

***29, February 2004***-- I had to have an entry on Leap Day. What could be better? Okay, a lot of things but whatever.

I was able to get the information on what Anders' new play was about. How? Because I rock, that's how! Nuff said. Anyway, Anders' is going to be doing a play in Denmark called "Plasticin". It's about a young man that goes through life just trying to get by and people are really rotten to him and he suffers through it and eventually dies and someone else takes his place and I take it the cycle continues. I know it sounds depressing but it actually reminds me of the Hebrew legend of the Lamed Vav Zaddikim. This story is about 36 righteous people in the world that carry the world's suffering so the world doesn't suffocate on it's own evil. They don't know who they are, they carry this burden and it's passed on when they die. I know, it sounds depressing...it's a legend already!

Anders will be playing about five parts in the play. It will start on 16, March and I think go to the end of April.

Other news? There is a strong possibility that Anders will be attending a Horror/Sci Fi convention being held in Akron, Ohio this September along with other members of the "Subspecies" cast. I don't have all the details although the convention is being planned for 17 - 19 of September. I was planning on attending so maybe a group of us can split costs on a room or something! Of course, I don't have all of the details but I will post them as soon as I can get them!

There are still plans to update and change the look of the site. My friend is eager to do so but right now he is busy building and moving into a new house and time is limited for him so the new design may take a bit longer than I had hoped. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Please feel free to sign the guestmap on the main page of this site. I do enjoy seeing where Anders' fans come from.

***31, January 2004***-- Hello, how are things? I have a couple of new announcements to make. First of all if you live in the New York Area you may be able to catch Anders in "Critters 4" and sorry this is short notice but it airs on the PIX Network at 12AM EST Februaury 1st.

This coming Tuesday, 03 February 2004, Anders will be starting work on a new play called "Plasticin" by Wassilij Sigarew. The play should run somewhere from mid-March to Mid or late April in Denmark. More details as I get them.

Other news is upcoming. One of the more set in stone is a new look for the site. I'm having it done over sometime in the near future. Everyone check back to see the changes.

***16, January 2004***-- Okay, everyone, you are going to have to imagine the tight blue, evening-mini-dress and the blond wig (as my hair is anything but) and the breathy voice as I sing:

Happy Birthday...to you. Happy Birthday...to you. Happy Birth----day, Mr. Anders Hove.....Happy Birth---day...to you.

And Many More.

***04, January 2004***-- HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

I hope everyone has had a good holiday season. I'm sorry it has been a bit since I last updated the site. It's been a very hectic few months here. I've been recovering from a severe respiratory illness and a lot of my time goes to physical and pulmonary therapy. I've also had to find a new roommate and had transmissions go out on two different cars in less than a month. It's been more than a little busy here...or as my boss says, "All you can do is laugh Lyn, all you can do is laugh."

Anyway, the 'TV and Film Appearances' page has been updated slightly. Someone let me know that the photo links didn't work. The photos aren't set up as links but the links underneath should be fine. I keep meaning to get it so you can click on the photo and get to the page but I haven't gotten to it yet.

What's Anders doing these days? Playing solitaire and building snowmen I suspect! He says he had a good holiday, very quiet. He and his family are doing well. He finished "Don Juan" around Christmas and will probably be starting a new play called "Plasticine", by a young Russian playwright, in about a month. I will keep you updated. Happy New Year again to you all!!!!

***28, October 2003***-- Don't forget to tune into WGN tonight to see Anders in the movie "Critters IV". 8PM EST check your local listings for times in your time zone.

Also, don't forget to visit Marley's new message board for Anders at Anders Hove Forum at People's Forum. The Delphi forum that originally held the message board has gotten harder and harder for people to access and stay on so I'm kind of hoping that we can get the message board up and going with Marley at the helm. Thanks Marley!!!!

And don't forget to check out the guestmap on the home page. It's great to see where you are all from!

***24, October 2003***-- A couple of Anders television appearances to report now:

The cable station WGN will be showing "Critters 4" on Tuesday, 28 October at 8PM EST. Check local listings for times in your timezone.

Also, if you have the IFC (Independent Film Channel) you will have three chances to see Anders in the movie "Mifune". Times are:

Thursday, 06 November at 11.30PM EST
Friday, 07 November at 4.20AM EST
Monday, 17 November at 2.15AM EST

Again, check your local listings to confirm showtimes in your timezones.

***29, September 2003***-- Hi everyone, sorry if I've been absent and not too active lately. In my own defense, I've been fighting a combination of pneumonia and mono for about a month or so. I was coughing a lot. Thought it was probably just allergies. Come to find out I was a bit sicker than I thought. It's hanging on too. Tomorrow will be my uh, fifth visit to the doctor. I'm actually doing fine. I'm still coughing a lot and I get fatigued very easily but if I pace myself I can go to work and do a moderate amount of activity. I've been ordered no dancing until I'm better and no martial arts but I guess that is to be expected.

Anyway, now you know where I've been. I have a few things to say about the site and some Anders News. First of all, site news. I'm really really getting sick of this web host. I've used them for nearly two years but they have changed management and it's been impossible to get help with the site as far as things that have stopped working in the control panel and other things. I am really looking at changing web hosts. I would like to recoup some of the money that I have spent moving first but I am looking at other web hosts. This probably won't affect the site. I think I can transfer the domain name. The only problem I forsee is that the site may be down for a couple of days whilst I get things transferred over. If this will be the case I will post it here in the news section so you don't think the site just vanished forever.

Anders News? Well, first the news that I'm sure many soap fans are already aware of. Finola Hughes left her role as Anna Devane on "All My Children". She is moving to the west coast where she can be with her family. Although hopes are that she will move her character of Anna to "General Hospital" the news is looking more like she will join a different soap altogether with a new and different character. What this means is that our chances for a possible Cesar Faison return to daytime just dropped.

I wasn't actually expecting to see him return this year anyway since he will be performing in Denmark with Moliere's "Don Juan". The play is underway currently at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen. It's run there goes from 19, September to 21, October. I wanted to print schedule information for the play but after it's run at the Royal Theater it will be touring Denmark at different theaters and so far, I haven't been able to get the full schedule. I have heard from a couple of Anders's Danish fans that they have tickets to see the performance and will let me know what it was like. I don't have a character name for him right now either although it sounded like he was set to play multiple parts. I will let you all know what I find out.

That's the news for now. Thanks for visiting; feel free to sign the Guestmap on the home page and if you have any news or questions please feel free to drop me a line.

***27, August 2003***-- ANDY KAUFMAN RULES!!!! Oh, sorry, wrong site. Anyway, I wanted to let people know that for some reason I haven't ascertained yet, the link to Aci's site that was put in the previous news bit doesn't seem to be working from everyone's computer. If you are having problems please go to Aci's Site either here or on the Related Sites Page (Radu's Blood Bath). There is a link to it on the front page.

Also, please drop me a line if you try to load pages here and they don't come out right. If there is a problem I want to be able to try to fix it. Thanks!

***23, August 2003***-- Hi peeps! How's it going? I hope everyone is having a fine summer. It's been a weird summer here. Temps and humidity have been extremely mild for the summer. Well, until recently anyway, it seems that we are having a last blast of summer here. It's really been hot, albeit not terribly humid which is nice, these last couple of weeks and they are saying it will stay that way into September.

One thing I wanted to do was apologise to two very loyal and longtime "fledglings" Aci and Marley. The two of them gave me some news to print a week or so ago and I'm just now getting to it. Sorry Aci and Marley. My only excuse is that I've been busy moving and working on a dance project that I had very little time to throw together but it had to be good. That's over now and went very well but I still have a week before the move is final. It's crunch time now. I've been good about getting a little done at a time up until now but now it's time to really get to the serious cleaning and moving. Of course, the weekend that I am moving is the first university football game weekend of the season so asking people to help us move was sacrilege around here. I would like to thank Candy and Ann and their significant others for volunteering to forego the football festivities to offer their time next weekend to help us move. Thanks to the four of you. Free beer and pizza will be waiting for you all!

Okay, on to the news. First, Aci, has sent me a request to put a link up to a page for his DVD campaign to get the "Subspecies" movies released on DVD. At present, I think only part IV is available on DVD. You can find the page HERE. I also put a link on the Related Sites page of this site. Be sure to stop in to Aci's site to find out what this campaign is about!!!!!

Secondly, Marley has created a great-looking new forum/message board for Anders fans. I'd like to promote this as I know that Delphi, where the official board is, has really turned people off with their new fees and being very hard for some browsers to work with. I think it would be great to get the message board running again and maybe we can do that with Marley's new forum. You can visit her new forum at Anders Hove Forum at People's Forum and again, I put a link up on the Related Sites page of this site. Good Luck Marley. I know I will try to spend more time there when this move is over! I encourage all of you to do so as well.

I do have some, but not a lot of news on Anders himself. He is doing well, having a good summer it seems. Work on "Don Juan" should have started and although I didn't have a lot of details on his participation in the play there was mention that he would probably be playing three different parts. I am still getting schedule information on the play which I will post as soon as I can. Hopefully, I can get some more information on the play in the next week or so as well.

The movie "Zakka West" had kind of faded into the background in recent months but recently I have been hearing news of it. I don't have any release information but I will be trying to get ahold of the director again and will let you all know if I do.

That's it for now. Again, thanks for visiting, you have all been great. I encourage you to sign the guest map on the home page. Stop in again!

***22, July 2003***-- Okay, so 20 hour days can take a toll on a person and thus I was sent home from work Monday for being ill. Not just ill but collapsing on the floor ill. Like my bosses would send me home if I could stand. Anyway, these last couple of days I've been recuperating and truly realising how boring and worthless most daytime television can be, I decided to update the site. If you will notice there is now a page for Fan Tributes to Anders. This page was inspired when someone sent me some photos of her tribute to Anders. Thank you Mandi!

Anyway, I decided to create the page for people to send in their art, tributes and so forth for Anders. I have to add that although I am all for free speech and the first ammendment and I am extremely anti-censorship, I will invoke the right to make sure any tributes sent in are checked for taste and so forth. I hate to be a bad guy but this site is for an actual person that does have the right to be represented in a way that is not embarassing or defamatory to him.

Anyway, you can send your tributes to andershove@anders-hove.com. If you would like to see the new page you can click on a link to the side or click here.

While I'm at it, I'd like to encourage everyone to sign the Guest Map which can be located on the main page. I love to see where you all are. Your personal information need not be given. Check it out to read the entries or leave one yourself! And since I hadn't had a chance these last few days to send a note or anything....Happy Birthday Raven! I'm terrible with birthdays. If you've had a birthday and I forgot to send a note or a message please forgive me. I'm trying to be better. You are welcome to send me your birthday and I can add it to a new calendar I have for such things.

***20, July 2003***-- Hey babies! Does anyone have heat and humidity like we do? If so, I hope you are surviving at least as well as I am. Good news, and an update to those of you that have been following my saga of finding a place to move....last week I was able to find a very nice apartment that will be great for my friend, her daughter and me and after going through two different application processes we were officially approved (yeh, it's one of those places). We move in at the end of August so I will be quite busy packing and organising everything. It's been putting a crimp in my availability but hopefully in about a month things will settle down. Of course, I will do my best to keep the board updated with anything I hear. Wish us luck!

Just a reminder that the Sci Fi network will be airing "Subspecies IV" at 11pm EST on Wednesday, 23rd of July. Check your local listings for times in your appropriate time zones!

***08, July 2003***-- Hello all, how is everyone's summer going? Mine's ending up to be fairly busy and that nice spring weather that was going on? Well, welcome to the sauna it's gone. The weather forcast here is steamroom. Oh well, I'll take it over snow.

I don't forsee it affecting the site much but I will be moving. I know, we all enjoyed the weird stories of the dump I live in now and nasty as this neighbourhood can be? It's kind of grown on me in some ways. I never thought I'd have a roommate again but a friend of mine and her daughter are in need of a way out of a very bad domestic situation if you know what I mean and I'm not afraid of the guy. Not only that? When I say I'm there for someone? I mean it. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Anyway, Anders News....I don't really have any new news on "Don Juan", though I am in the process of getting the schedule for the performances. Stay tuned for that. If you are wanting to see Anders in one of his great performances of the evil Radu? Check out the Sci Fi network on Wednesday the 23rd of July at 11PM Eastern time. They will be showing "Subspecies IV" the to date final chapter of the "Subspecies" saga. Check your local listings for correct times in your time zones.

***24, June 2003***-- TALKING HEADS RULE!!!!!! Oh wait, wrong site. :-) Anyway, just a short note. Ever watch "Subspecies" and wonder where you can get a copy of that interesting soundtrack? If so, let me know, e-mail me, I can be of help. (For those of you STILL waiting for tapes? So sorry, my VCR jack is missing, I'm looking. I may just get a new one.)

***12, June 2003***-- I have a clarification to make. I think I jumped the gun saying that work on "Don Juan" would be started by now. Apparently, the rehearsals for this play will be starting around the first of August. The play is set to tour Denmark from October to around the end of the year. Sorry for any misinformation I may have given there. There is still no word on what part Anders will be playing. In the meantime, it sounds as if there is a project or two that he will be working on but nothing that is really set in stone yet. Of course, I'll give you the information as I get it.

I received a note from a fellow fan and very cool guy the other day asking if anyone had any suggestions about ideas of how to get Full Moon to release the "Subspecies" quad on DVD. If anyone has any suggestions at all please let me know. I say a writing campaign or something would work best. I'll look into it and see if I can find addresses and other information. I'll try to post them here ASAP.

***07, June 2003***-- Hi, it's me, your hostess. Sorry I've been absent for a while. Yeh, I've been out looking for my youth since that nasty birthday thing. I had the most horrible thought the other day. I was born two months early. I just had to make my appearance in the world two months early. Yes, indeed, I'm one of those incubator miracles that somehow managed to survive the odds. Anyway, if I hadn't been so eager to get out. I'd still be 29 for another couple of weeks. It just isn't fair!

Okay, okay, I'll move on. By this time Anders should be starting work on the play "Don Juan" by Moliere. If you are in the area and able to see it when it hits the stage I would highly recommend it. I love Moliere. Even if the director manages to butcher it, Moliere is usually good even when done badly. I'll have more reports on the play as I get news.

I would also like to let everyone know that I finally got that review of "The Idiots". Well, I didn't get it, I saw the movie and wrote it. You can check it out on the "Comments on Anders Work" page. Someone had asked me about the note that was on the bottom of the page for like a year that stated, "Coming Soon: Reviews of "The Idiots" and "Flamberede Hjerter". Well, it took me longer to find a copy of "The Idiots" than I thought and the other one? My sleazy boyfriend promised me he'd send me a review of that one since he lives over there and has seen it but alas, I don't think I ever received it. Not only that, my distant proximity to him most times makes it hard to be intimidating to him and when I see him, I usually don't think about the review. I took the comment off anyway. I don't know if I can get that one or not for a while.

Hope everyone's summers are starting well. Ours is not so bad. Here we usually have a week of spring. It goes from freezing, bitter cold to blazing, humid hot in not a lot of time and we've been in a drought for the last few years but this year seems to be giving us lots of cool storms and the weather has been mild up to now. It will not stay this way that much I can be sure of. Still, I will enjoy it whilst it is here. Be Well!

***08, May 2003***-- I know that the updates have been a bit few and far between these last few months but there really hasn't been a lot of news so you aren't missing anything. As far as my last report? I think I will be able to deal with this birthday thing. I was looking at a picture of myself when I was 20 compared to some pictures now and all I can say is hey, I'm just twice as beautiful, sexy and alluring as I was then! If this is the way it's going to go, I can't wait until I'm 40!!!! YEH BABY!!!!

Anyway, enough vanity! I do have a few small things to report. First of all, if any of you have visited the Anders Hove page on IMDB? You may remember that there is no headshot of our Mr. Hove there. Well, never fear true believers, I remedied that! I always wanted to but never wanted to pay the fee that it takes to submit a photo but I finally broke down and did it. If you want to check it out you can click here.

Whilst you are there you may see that they have "General Hospital" listed as 'filming'. Sorry to squelch your hopes and the rumours that you have heard but Anders is not returning to "General Hospital". Not yet anyway. If I may say so I got that information from a pretty darned reliable source.

Those of you that have requested tapes from me? After a couple of hectic weeks of holidays and work and now that I have my car back, transmission intact, I will start to catch up with you on those.

***19, April 2003***-- Okay people, you got me. I was hoping my birthday yesterday would just kind of fade away without anyone noticing, especially since I took the last two days off for Pesach and wouldn't be around anyone....but no! That wasn't good enough for some of you was it? Some of you sweethearts just couldn't leave it alone that I turned...that number after 29!

Thanks to you all for the various ways you celebrated this for me. Thanks to you that kindly just sent me cards and gifts. The rest of you? Well, to those who aren't as old as me yet, payback is nasty. To those of you that are or older? Where is the love? Nils? Was it necessary to call my favourite radio station and sing, off-key, in Danish, happy birthday to your girlfriend, insert name, who works here, lives here and is turning that number? Although thanks for the request for the Beatles' block and the really interesting gift that I can't mention here.

Ana Banana, Candy Cane and you others who are responsible for totally trashing my desk, locker and duffle bag with streamers, more confetti than a person could ever see, and GLITTER(?) and putting that goofy picture of me everywhere from the bathrooms to the elevators to the cafeteria that said, "look who's 30!!!!" Wednesday before I took off? I couldn't have done a better job myself. You've, unfortunately, learned too much from me. Thanks for the birthday cake and the brownies and the cookies and the all the other stuff I couldn't eat after Wednesday due to the holiday.

Now, to the person who decided to decorate the front of my apartment building with black streamers, balloons, the grim reaper and banners saying "Happy 30th Lynette?" I'll find you; that was cold.

Now, the reason I'm putting this here is that I know you all visit this site and are expecting it. I can't be angry at you as I would have done the exact same thing to most of you. The birthday I was hoping to fade silently out of everyone's memory has become the most publicized event of the year so far....Thanks, I think, I feel so loved! I think....

Now, even though you have been somewhat cruel, and I can appreciate that....there will be some really cool additions to the Anders site over the next two weeks so keep visiting. I'm working on them as much as possible.

***14, April 2003***-- Everyone ready for tomorrow? The Taxman he doth cometh. Hopefully, I am now. Yeh, I'm one of those lucky ones that gets to pay in every year--no refunds for me!

Anyway, thanks to Aci for letting me know that the "Critters" series is now available on DVD. So, if you want to see Anders get devoured by creepy little furballs in full digital glory, you now can preorder your copy from DVDEmpire.

***16, March 2003***-- First of all, Happy Birthday to choreographer/dancer Ann Crosset (Anders' talented wife)!!!!!! Hopefully, it's a wonderful day for her and I wish her many, many more!

Secondly, you must try this website: The Dialectizer. Just go to the site and and "www.anders-hove.com" and then pick your choice of dialects to hear what I would sound like, or what this website might sound like if I were a redneck, cockney, speaking jive, pig latin or whatever choice they have. You can hit the different page links and see what they would sound like in that dialect as well. I tried it, I laughed so hard I nearly fell over.

***12, March 2003***-- Look for ATMAX to provide us with another showing of "Idioterne" (The Idiots) on Monday, 17, March from 4.00 - 6.00 AM. Again, assuming this is Eastern Standard Time, you may want to check your local listings for the correct time.

Thanks to Kristi for pointing out that the Full Moon Website is actually up and running again. I fixed the link on the "Related Sites" page if you are interested.

***10, March 2003***-- Again this is going to be rather short notice and I apologise. I just got the news today. ATMAX will again be showing the movie "Idioterne" (The Idiots), in which Anders has a part. The movie will be shown Tuesday, 11, March 2003 from 12.35 - 2.30 AM. Again, I'm assuming this is Eastern Standard Time so check your local listings for correct times.

***07, March 2003***-- Well, I don't think I've gotten spring to come any faster and my car needs a new transmission altogether so I'm still on foot but guess what kiddies? I have more Anders News for you and I knew that would make you happy.

For all of you spreading those rumours that Anders will be returning to the states to be in either "All My Children" or "General Hospital" again...well, you can just stop spreading those rumours. Anders will be wrapping up his work in "Hjemmliv/Kabul" near the end of this month and will start working on the play "Don Juan" (by Moliere!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!). He will be touring in Denmark with "Det Danske Theatre", a Danish theatre group. More details on this as I get them.

I know this is rather short notice but if you are lucky enough to have the ATMAX channel you may have a chance to catch Anders in "Idioterne" (The Idiots) on Saturday, 08, March from 4.10 - 6.00 AM. I'm assuming this is Eastern Standard Time so check your local listings for times in your area.

***04, March 2003***-- Um, spring? hello? Where are you? Please hurry, I'm sick of the blizzards, I can't take them anymore. I need the sun, the warmth, the daylight, please....Mr. spring? Come back to us!

***02, March 2003***-- Sorry about a lack of news last month. Anders is still doing the play "Hjemmliv/Kabul" until near the end of this month. I'll try to get information on any other projects he may have in the works.

Is everyone surviving the winter? I can say that where I'm at it's been very strange. Several blizzards separated by a few days of above average weather. Just enough to melt the snow almost completely and then another blizzard. Very strange. It's hard to get used to. During the days around the blizzard the weather will be at extremely cold near or below 0 F temps and then for a few days the weather will be near 50 F. It was during one of these colder days last week when the blasted transmission in my car blew up. And I got to wait in the cold, dark night on a road outside of the city for a tow truck and a friend to show up. Three hours later...I got home where it was warm. And people teased me about my yearly emergency supply check of supplies in my trunk. Candles, candy bars, water jugs, blankets and first aid kits....let's get them in those cars people! (That was your safety tip of the day). :)

This little inconvenience did make it possible for me to be home all day and during part of that, I did some work on the site. The broken links on the Related Sites page are fixed. I had no idea so many had changed. Full Moon's website still seems to be on extended leave of absence and I have no clue when they are proposing to get it going so that one is still a dead end. Oh, and if you are one of those most interesting people who write me with not questions about Herr Hove but myself, and you all know who you are, I decided to add my homepage to the "About the Owners" Section. It's really, really under construction and I need to redo the photos as I think they take way too long to load at this point but I'm working on it bit by bit. Stop by if you like but if you don't that's just fine too.

Thanks to my great friend in Denmark, Pernille, for giving me some updates to the TV and Film appearances page. I much appreciate it. And Congratulations on your new Master's degree! I know you worked very hard on that and was glad to hear it worked out well!

Yet... If you were one of those that were waiting to get some tapes from me this week they may be a little late. I've been relying on the kindness of others to get me to my jobs and back, I live in the downtown area of the city so getting food and provisions isn't terribly hard since there are several stores and restaurants around but alack and alas....I'm not within walking distance of a postal office during the hours that the postal office is open. Please be patient with me. I've got a very hectic schedule and the car is foreign so the mechanic is looking for the parts and it may take a few days and a heartstopping amount of money for me to be independently mobile again. ASAP..I will get those in the mail.

Please check out the photos of Anders that someone happened to send me to add to the site. I've never seen them before and they look really informal but it was nice to add yet a sixth page for photos. You can go through the links in the photo pages or just click here.

***01, February 2003***-- I explain, but do not apologise, that this statement is unrelated to Anders Hove News (or how my week went).

At 9.00 AM this morning the Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart on it's landing descent back to Earth. All seven of the shuttle astronauts (six Americans and one Israeli) were killed. My sympathies and my thoughts go out to the families of the seven astronauts and to all who are affected by this tragedy. It is truly a sad day in human history.

This particular flight had a significant meaning to me as their was a picture of the Israeli astronaut holding up a Torah scroll for all to see. The significance of this was that his family had survived the Holocaust in Auschwitz. The scroll belonged to an old man who realised he wasn't going to survive so he gave it to the astronaut's family on with the request that they not let the world forget the tragedies of the Holocaust and man's ability to be inhumane. The astronaut held up the scroll in a gesture that he would keep the request alive and also that man could work together for good. A beautiful story with such a sad end.

Again, my thoughts and my tears are with the families of each of the astronaut's families. They were truely brave; and it is a sad day in history for mankind. Thank You.

***27, January 2003***-- For those of you that so kindly wrote to me to find out how my disasterous time last week went...here's the lowdown:

HEAT: Back on
WATER: Back on
KNEE: Nothing broken, nothing torn, very bruised and swollen, should be fine in a couple of weeks yada, yada, yada..
CAR: After finding out it was the battery and that it couldn't even be jump started, my friend convinced me that installing a battery was a three minute job not worth paying a tow truck to tow it to a mechanic who would charge up the yin-yang for labour and took me to an automotive parts store where we carefully bought just the right one and took it back to install ourselves, in the dark, with temperatures well below zero fahrenheit. Three minute job, that's funny. It took an hour and a half. The bolts were wrong, the knobs were on the wrong side and the cords didn't stretch so we installed it sideways. It starts, it will get me to work and back but I really should take it in to have it installed properly. Thank you Rabbi Rosenbaum for that memorable night of cold, dark, automative fun. Yes, you know who your friends are when you desperately need someone to help you fix your car on a dark, windy, subdegree night.
ANDERS' PLAY: Still doing well as much as I hear.
ANDERS' MOVIES FROM DENMARK: I'm still willing to help you with that; just let me know.

***22, January 2003***-- (Maniacal laugh) So I get up this morning right and the room is freezing f-ing cold right? Because it's the coldest night we've had so far and the radiator broke down---right, great. So, I jump up put on the heaviest sweatshirt and sweatpants I have and decide I'm getting to work where it's warm as early as possible. Then (more maniacal laughter), I realise as I'm trying to get ready for work that my sweater is still wet from not being able to dry on the radiator and the pipes are frozen so there is no water.

Being early, I actually used the dryer in the basement even though it's so old and broken down that you need to duct tape it shut to keep it going. I see that there is a foot of snow on my car so I run to the local chemist shop downtown, in the snowstorm to buy like a ton of water gallons because, yes, I'm freezing but I'll be at work where it's warm. The temperature here is a stifling 9 degrees fahrenheit (for non Americaners that's -12.8 Celsius. I get the water, run home, and even though the water is freezing, am able to freshen up enough to go to work.

I put on three layers of socks, two layers of leg warmers, the heaviest pants I have, some boots, and retrieve my sweater, still slightly damp and put it on over a turtleneck and dry it more with a hairdryer. The meteorologist is laughing over how it's going to get colder and colder today, record lows people! Woo hoo! (Really hard maniacal laughter) Yeh, go to the North Pole and play with the Polar bears Mr. Weather man have a blast you son of a... By now, I'm numb and late for work but hey, I can warm up when I get there right? Ha ha!

I go to my car, I realise I have no gloves but who cares? I can't feel my hands anyway and brush off the windows and proceed to start the car and this is what I hear...click, click, click....but the lights are still coming on so it can't be the battery can it? I turn on the headlights and they work...I turn them off and then try to turn on the car...no clicking, no lights, no nothing! I guess it was the battery after all. Yay! And the tow trucks aren't going to be able to come help me until later because of all the accidents they are cleaning up that take precedence. And self-sufficient as many know me to be, you do need two people to jump a battery.

Then, I get out of the car and am walking back to the apartment and I slip on the ice, go sailing across the air and land on my knee and needed my landlord's help to crawl back to the top floor apartment I call home. It was beautiful, a real classic 9.8 on the entertainment scale for spectators. So, I relinquish myself to the fact that I'm not going anywhere for a while (crazy, hard maniacal laughter). I'm here, I'm cold, get used to it. And people wonder why I hate winter and cold and snow....oh, it's so pretty...whatever.

Anyway, Anders News. I'll be trying to get feeling back into my fingers by working on the site a little, fixing some links, adding a photo page. I have some more leads I can follow on getting more of Anders' Danish movies and if anyone wants to partake of "Mifune", "The Idiots" or "To Mand i en Sofa" please let me know as I can help them to get these. Just e-mail me and let me know. I am here for you...have to be, I'm not going anywhere for a while. For those fans in Denmark or Europe, I hear the film, "At Kende Sandheden" is apparently in theaters. Anders has a part as what I hear would be the head of medicine, rather typical to the head of America's AMA. Frandsen is the character's name.

Have a good day and pray they get the heat on soon. :-)

***20, January 2003***-- I was able to get a description of the part that Anders is playing in "Hjemmliv Kabul". Apparently, he has a smaller part as a white-bearded, hat salesman with an Afghanistani accent and loves Frank Sinatra. Great, now I'm going to have "You Make me Feel so Young" in my head all day and will be dancing around like a maniac. Anyway, the play has gotten mixed reviews in the press, seems a little on the longish side and opens with a very long monologue. Thank you to Pernille for the information, it was greatly welcomed. If you do have a chance to see the play, please let me know more about it. I would gladly put your review on the site.

***17, January 2003***-- Okay, I'm hearing all sorts of rumours that Mr. Hove will be making a return to either "General Hospital" or "All My Children" to reprise his role as Faison this spring. I hate to tell you this peeps but it's not true. Mr. Hove will probably be doing theatre in Denmark this year. If anything changes I will let you know straight away. Sorry fans, I guess that's good news for European fans but not so happy for American and other fans.

Here's another reminder to sign the guest map on the home page of this site. This site gets visitors from all over the world every month and I think it would be neat for people to see from where they are coming from. And this little bit is directed at one particular goof I know but please refrain from using the board to talk about my legs. I know, I know, I'm sexy as hell but there are other venues to discuss these things if you absolutely must. Nyeh, nyeh.

***16, January 2003***-- HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDERS HOVE!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day and many many wonderful more! Best wishes for a great Birthday! Woo Hoo!!!!!

***11, January 2003***-- I hope everyone's New Year is going well. Mine isn't doing too badly. I went to the doctor to check on some back discomfort for lack of a better word, it wasn't really pain. Aside from some trouble from an old injury he said my nerves were good, my reflexes were 4+, I have absolutely incredible strength for my size and I have the flexibility of a rubber band. Amazing for someone getting very close to 30 with my history. :-) So three cheers for dance, yoga and karate.

All right, all right, I know, this is the Anders Hove board but I was so happy about that and you all usually hear my worst case scenario stories I thought it would be good for the new year.

I do in fact have some Anders stuff to share. Oh me, oh my. If you live in the UK area or somehow have access to British Sci Fi channel, there are two showings of "Subspecies" coming up. On Friday, January 17th, "Subspecies" will be showing on Sci Fi Britain at 11.50pm GMT (I assume GMT you may want to check your listings). Also, on Tuesday January 21st, Sci Fi Britain will be showing "Subspecies" at 1.45AM GMT (again, check your local listings to confirm time slots).

On a different note, I was alerted to a website that may be of some interest to you, especially if you are a crafty person. Swede Creations has a uh, lovely Radu model kit that you can put together all by yourself complete with bloodstone and uh, drool. Go baby! Anyway, if you are interested, they have instructions on how you can order this little piece of beauty.
